Other Permits and Licenses Required for Automobile Dealers
There may be additional permits and licenses depending on the city and state in which you are doing business. These might be:
Resale Permit. This allows the auto dealer to collect taxes on sales.
City and/or County Business License. The city or county may issue a tax certificate based on gross receipts for a 12-month projection.
Bureau of Auto Repair Application. Dealers who will be providing automobile servicing and repair may be required to file an application with their local Bureau of Automotive Repair office. This application takes approximately six to eight weeks and includes a fee.
